Off-grid Inverter Comparison
Modern Off-grid inverters can be used to build either hybrid (grid-interactive) or off-grid solar systems to charge batteries using solar or backup AC power sources such as a generator. Off-grid inverters, also known as multi-mode inverters or inverter-chargers, supply pure sign-wave AC power and can be used to build stand-alone power systems that can be either AC-coupled with solar inverters or DC-coupled with MPPT solar charge controllers. Learn more about AC and DC-coupled systems here.

Inverter Features explained:
Load Shifting = Enabling a controlled load/s to be turned on during peak solar generation periods
Peak Shaving = Also called peak lopping, is the ability to reduce peak demand from the grid
Batt sense = Battery sense input to take into account cable voltage drop and optimise battery charging
Batt mid sense = Battery mid string sensor to detect cell voltage imbalance (Gel and AGM - Lead Acid)
Generator support = Ability to automatically operate a generator based on specific load/battery parameters.
